As far as we can tell, the world is microscopically random yet macroscopically determined. The sculpture captures this sense of inevitable indeterminacy as the contents are remixed, stacked, harassed, and recolored. The figurines inside the ball contend with the simple input of the plunger and the forms of the other figurines touching them to produce a chaotic result. Like us, the obtuseness of their physical form provides a limit for their total intimacy.

As they are struck, their position and of light generated changes. Each wireless led is lit by its ability to inductively couple with the power supply in the base, thus each figure will be uniquely lit to its position in analog space. After ten seconds of activation, a unique stack is generated, each configuration is unique and yet given probabilistic positioning of the LEDS in space and and differing requirements across colors patterns emerge.
